Hi, I’m Coleen and I’ve pretty much spent my whole life playing with paper. I started out as a mechanical drafter, went back to school to explore art and design, and eventually earned a BFA in Graphic Design along with a certificate in Museum Studies. Along the way, I’ve dipped my toes into just about every corner of the design world—corporate gigs, freelance projects, volunteer work, and plenty of personal play. All those experiences have shaped what you see here at Coleen Rood Designs.
This little adventure is my way of learning new things, sharing discoveries, and connecting with others who love creating. At its heart, it’s about finding joy in the simple act of making fold by fold, cut by cut, and the delight of turning a flat piece of paper into something full of personality.
Coleen Rood Designs was born out of my own journey of healing and rediscovery, and I truly believe that art can soothe, craft can connect, and creativity can bring us back to ourselves.
