About Coleen Rood Designs
Who I Am
My name is Coleen and I am from Seattle. I am a Designer, an Artist and a creative problem solver. An out of the box thinker with a growth mindset outlook, I wear many hats. Be it craft, hobby, art or design, I have always worked and played with my creative side. Examples on this page are from past professional and private work. New work can be seen on my Etsy shop.
My background
With 37 years of working in some form of drawing, design and art, my skills come from Drafting, a BFA in Graphic Design, a certificate in Museum Studies, and working in both coorprate and freelance environments. I strive to visually communicate my clients needs and solve their design problems. I have a passion for graphic design and
I love a good font.
My new adventure
I want to always be growing into who I need to be. For me this means change and redefining what I do and learn. To strengthen my skills, I have joined a mentoring/teaching program with Carina Gardner, Design Suite Mastermind. The possibilities are endless on what direction I follow in the program, but for now I am producing svg files and look forward to drawing daily and learning new skills.
